Region Manager
The Computational Region panel controls the GRASS region — the bounding box and resolution used by all raster processing.
Reading the current region
Click ↻ Read current region to fetch and display the current region values from the active GRASS environment:
- North / South / East / West bounds
- Rows / Columns
- Resolution (EW and NS)
Setting the region
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Set to default region | Reset to the GRASS location default |
| Save as default region | Overwrite the location default with the current region |
| Save named | Save the current region under a custom name |
| Load named | Restore a previously saved named region |
| Set region to raster(s) | Match the region to one or more raster maps (hold Ctrl/⌘ for multi-select) |
| Draw BBOX on map | Interactively draw the region as a bounding box on the Cesium globe |
Drawing the region on the map
- Click Draw BBOX on map — the cursor changes to crosshair mode
- Click and drag on the globe to define the rectangle
- The region is set and the rectangle overlay remains visible
