Layer Manager
The Layer Manager section in the left panel lists every raster and vector layer currently loaded on the map. It supports drag-and-drop reordering, opacity control, vector styling, layer grouping, and legend display.
Layer row controls
Each layer row contains (left to right):
| Control | Description |
|---|---|
| ⠿ drag handle | Drag to reorder layers |
| checkbox | Toggle layer visibility |
| R / V badge | Kind indicator (Raster or Vector) |
| layer name | Monospace name, truncated with ellipsis |
| opacity slider | Adjust layer transparency (0–100 %) |
| zoom-to button | Fly Cesium camera to this layer's extent |
| legend button | Show/hide the WMS legend image |
| remove button | Remove the layer from the map |
Reordering layers
Drag any layer row by its ⠿ handle to change its position in the stack. Layers higher in the list are drawn on top in Cesium.
Named groups
Click + Group at the bottom of the Layer Manager to create a named group. Drag layers into the group to organise them. Groups can be collapsed with the ▸/▾ toggle.
Adding layers
Use the toolbar buttons to open the Add Raster or Add Vector panel in the left sidebar, select from the available maps in the current GRASS environment, then click Add to Map.
Opacity
Move the slider in a layer row to change its opacity. The value is applied live to the Cesium imagery layer and is persisted as part of the workspace session.
Vector styles
Clicking the style button on a vector layer expands an inline panel with:
- Color — fill/stroke colour picker
- Alpha — transparency slider
- Width — stroke width in pixels
Style changes are applied to the WFS layer rendered by Cesium.
Legend
Click the legend button on a raster layer to fetch and display the WMS legend graphic inline below the layer row.
